Olympic Park

A nice soccer facility with a lot of fields and plenty of parking. Each field is full turf and very fast. The restrooms are clean and spacious.

Sports Facilities

This park has a lot to offer soccer players, runners, and anyone who likes to take walks. Most of the fields are turf, and they are well-maintained. The only downside is the parking complex, which can get crowded at times.

Olympia Park is home to an extensive array of park district programs and events, including soccer, baseball, basketball, and skate areas. The park also has eight synthetic turf sports fields, four lighted tennis courts, and garden plots. The park is the site of many regional and national sports tournaments.

The park district has been a part of the community for over a century. It is the largest public agency in Illinois and provides its 80,000 residents with an incredible array of recreation programs, events, facilities, and parks. The district is also renowned for its nationally recognized Olympic Park complex, which hosts thousands of sports tournaments annually. Located in the heart of Schaumburg, the Olympic Park complex is surrounded by celebrated attractions, such as the Schaumburg Convention Center and Topgolf Schaumburg.

Concessions

The park offers concession stands for sports participants to enjoy snacks and drinks. There are also restaurants located within minutes of Olympic Park, Connelly Park, and Atcher Park for those who would prefer a sit-down meal. The Streets of Woodfield and Woodfield Mall are just a short drive away as well.

Kids can get a taste of professional baseball by watching Schaumburg Boomers games. The minor league affiliate of the Chicago White Sox features a variety of family-friendly events, as well as youth baseball camps during the summer. Tickets are $8-$11, and season tickets are available.

Seven-time Olympian Simone Biles competes locally at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates as part of USA Gymnastics’ U.S. Classic tournament in August. She will be joined by 10 other top gymnasts. Parking

If you are looking for a great place to host a sports tournament, Olympic Park is the place to go. The park has 8 synthetic turf soccer fields and 2 natural grass sports fields and has hosted thousands of games since opening in 1995. The park also has a parking garage that can hold up to 300 cars. There are also food concession stands and restrooms available on site.

The parking facilities surrounding the stadium require a pre-paid parking pass and open four hours prior to kickoff and close two hours after the game. The North Garage requires a blue coupon and the Family Friendly Lot (no alcohol) requires an off-white or black-striped coupon. Tailgating is allowed in the surface lots, on the upper level of the Waldron Deck, and at McCormick Place 31st Street Lot B, D, or E only. Open containers of alcohol are not permitted outside the parking lots or on the shuttle buses.

Restrooms

The 72-acre Olympic Park sports complex features synthetic fields that are designed to be extra durable and can host large tournaments. It also has a playground, basketball courts, a skate area, and community garden plots. It is located south of Woodfield Mall and has plenty of parking spaces.

There is a single restroom for the entire complex, which can get crowded at peak times. But it is clean and well-maintained. It is also close to many restaurants and Woodfield Mall, making it a great place for families to spend a day or weekend in the northwest suburbs.
