As a resident of Winfield, IL, you can count on SBC Waste Solutions for your garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection needs. We will collect your garbage, recycling, and yard waste on your designated day between 7 AM and 5:30 PM. To ensure efficient collection, kindly place all items curbside between 7 PM the night before and 6 AM on the collection day.

Trash & Recycling Collection Day

Holiday Schedule:

Curbside pickup services will not be performed on the holidays listed below, this is our official holiday schedule for 2024. If the holiday in question lands on your normally scheduled pickup day or earlier in the week, the pick-up day for that week will be delayed by ONE day. If your weekly pickup day is Friday, your pickup day for the week will be on Saturday.

Service Schedule Is One Day Following These 6 Holidays

Village of Winfield Spring Clean-Up Collection

This year, our Spring Clean-Up event will take place during the Week of April 22th coinciding with your normal collection day. During this week, SBC will provide each customer with free curbside pickup of large household items, such as appliances, furniture, carpet, home improvement materials, and yard waste. Regular bundling rules apply (4’ x 2’ bundles weighing less than 50 pounds). We request that residents limit the material they put out for collection to 4 cubic yards. This is a great opportunity for residential customers to dispose of bulky items and other waste that might be cluttering their homes.

*SBC will remove all Paints of all types at your Curbside for no additional charges. Please contact SBC to schedule your free pick-up. We do require 24 hours notice and separate scheduling from normal pick-up days.

Village of Winfield Free Leaf Collection

Leaves we be collected during the weeks of November 18th, November 25th, and December 2nd on residents’ land regular collection days. In order to be collected, leaves must be stored in Kraft paper bags and placed at the curbside by 7:00 AM on the day of collection. During these weeks, no stickers are required.

White Goods:

“White Goods” refer to appliances that may contain hazardous components such as CFCs, HCFCs, PCBs, mercury switches, or other substances that are detrimental to the environment and human health. These appliances include refrigerators, air conditioners, humidifiers, and other similar items that require proper handling and disposal procedures to minimize their impact on the environment.

Yard Waste Collection:

Yard waste collection begins the first week of April and ends the last week of November. Yard waste is collected in biodegradable Kraft paper bags or resident-owned rigid containers clearly marked ‘Yard Waste’ not exceeding 35 gallons or 50 pounds. Yard waste in plastic bags will not be collected. A sticker must be affixed to each bag or can of yard waste. For those participating in the Unlimited Flat Rate Program, a sticker is not required.

Free Christmas Tree Collection

Trees will be collected the three weeks following Christmas – December 26, January 2 and 9. Trees must not be in plastic bags and must be free of decorations. After that time, a sticker must be attached. Those on the Flat Rate Program do not need to attach a sticker after that time.

Unacceptable Items

Household products that are flammable, toxic, corrosive or reactive can be dangerous to collection personnel and the environment when disposed of improperly. Items such as paint, pesticides, poisons, cleaning solvents, automotive batteries, tires, tainted gasoline, used oil and other automotive fluids are consider household hazardous waste and should not be included with your refuse.

Billing Information:

Subscription customers will receive a bill in advance of the next three months of service. Residents using the subscription option for service may pay electronically, online or by authorized ACH transactions.
